Allen Andrade trial in Greeley

Allen Andrade is 32 year old man, whom is accused of first degree murder of Angie Zapata, a trans gender woman, this is being considered a bias motivated hate crime, aggravated motor vehicle theft and identity theft.

Judge Marcelo Kopcow gives instructions to the jury. The Judge stated that the burden of proof was on the prosecutor to prove that charges. The implication is that the charges must be prove or the accused can not be punished for a greater crime than he committed.

Robb Miller the prosecutor said the victim, Angie Zapata was brutally murdered for what she was. She was hit over and over as this hate crime was committed.


The final Verdict:
Guilty of first degree murder.
Guilty of bias motivated crime
Guilty of aggravated motor vehicle theft in the first degree.
Guilty of identity theft.

The Sentence:
Andrade will spend the rest of his life in the Department of Corrections
The Judge hopes that Andrade will think about the victim and the brutality that he inflicted on that human being.
The Judge also told Andrade he hopes he will think about the harm caused to his family and the Zapata family.
