Adolf Merkle was struck by a train late Monday night. This comes after great turmoil in the family business losing millions of euros on investments since the the economic crisis began.
Struggling with the failure of his investments and the feeling of powerlessness in being able to turn the tide of an ever collapsing economy, Adolf Merkle had been suffering from the burdens of his empire and could not seem to stop the momentum that was crushing businesses all around the world.
Adolf Merkle was ranked 94th riches man in the world by Forbes Magazine in 2008 and was a leading entrepreneur in the German society. May his family find the peace that they need in this now even more difficult time.

This is just so sad. He has just abondoned his family when they need him the most. If only people would learn to talk more and listen more during these trying times.
