Larry Stewart was known as the Secret Santa of Kansas city. Walking the streets and handing out $100 bills to those that look as if they were down on their luck. Stewart died of cancer earlier this year.
Stewart gave out more than $1.3 million to people in diners, shelters, bus stations and laundromats. He was trying to give back to the community that had given him so much.
For years Stewart denied any acknowledgement of his hospitality. In December of 2006 while battling cancer he allowed his friends to know that he was the Secret Santa of Kansas and that he wish for his friends to care on his tradition of kindness and many have.
